How to Create Stunning Jewelry – Marco Cannataro

At the handmade art jewelry exhibition, our attention was drawn to striking necklaces on one of the stands. When we touched it, we found it difficult to determine the materials used. We hesitated, gazing for a few minutes until the artist approached and briefly told us the story of their creation:

“This, I can say, is my plastic and rubber recycling technology. I make everything by hand, and each piece is unique. They’ve been tested and won’t cause allergies.”, said Marco, the author of this fantastic jewelry.

Given the perfect proportions, including the asymmetrical elements, we tried to find out how this was achieved.

Marco graduated in applied arts in northern Italy and had a successful career in the furniture industry. At one point, he started addressing the pollution issue caused by the excessive use of plastic. He ventured into recycling, initially producing furniture parts, and later, jewelery.

We couldn’t resist and treated ourselves to necklaces whose colors complement our palettes, allowing us to mix and match them. When we envisioned a necklace in the text “How to Style a Little Black Dress,” we pictured it in red coral. However, it now perfectly incorporates a piece of red recycled rubber.
